DAZ Studio has had a renderman compliant renderer (3Delight) for years. Hexagon is purely a modeler and doesn't make any attempt at providing rendering in-program. However, you can use the DAZ Studio bridge to send your model from Hexagon directly to DAZ Studio for rendering, either with 3Delight or with NVIDIA's IRay (if you use the DAZ Studio 4.8 public beta).
Thing is a Pixar person told me that the APIs are included with the Renderman non-comm version:

Please read that
I can't read that without registering in their forums. However, there is no published plugin SDK for Hexagon, so even if you have access to RenderMan APIs (which is cool, don't get me wrong), it doesn't change the situation for Hexagon. I suppose you could make a plugin for DAZ Studio, but since you already have access to 3Delight for free, I'm not sure what you gain from it.
so you can't use 3rd party plugins at all?
As far as I know, there are no 3rd-party plugins for Hexagon.
