If it is a bug, it may not have been reported yet; if there is just a missing step, I did not see it with a quick glance through the documentation.

You will notice that there are no version dependencies in http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/referenceguide/scripting/api_reference/object_index/contentfolder_dz - the API is as it was initially, nothing has been added or taken away. Indeed, the DS 3 scripting is the same. That doesn't necessarily mean Omniflux is wrong, but it isn't a deliberate change and the methods you cite are not new.
