READY READY READY READY READY READY READY

if you grabbed the very first version you may get black renders on some frames -
But Version 2 solves all that , so upgrade now and uh dont get stuck

=============
initial post was :

a big pack of morphable door frames

maybe , say, 40 styles

morphs to make the door hole wider and taller ( without deforming the mouldings )

and morphs to make the mouldings wider and deeper

----

i'll make them with a secret automated version of mcjBuilderA
and secret custom versions of mcjAddStretchMorph and mcjAddRadialMorph
and hmm some prop builder script

--- hey actually i can do the 40 props using a single mcjBuilderA script !
i forgot i can create many props with 1 script
... single file but i have a secret tool to split it into 40 obj files

--

i'll have to select among mcjBuilder's mouldings, some are kind of redundant

---

80 it will be 80

from mcjBuilder's list of 100+ profiles

make it 88

    the 88 moulding shapes

you know, they could also be used as baseboards or wall crown on U-Shaped rooms

    or as tunnels

    or as ceilings

well maybe it will be 100 ... some of them are not symetric and the X-Mirrored versions may be useful

hope i make it before midnight!

    ok 120 or 121

the geometry files are only 15KB per door frame
the poser prop files will probably be bigger

oh my gawd it may even be 240

    Fig 2 - the 33 extras

BTW - over here you have a pack of 71 straight moulding props
    http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/39820/

and the texturing ease is decent

Fig 4 : same moulding shape but rotated 90 degrees, give different frames - that's why the doubling of the number of props
most moulding shapes have some symmetry so we dont need 352 props, only 240 :)

Fig 5 : that late evening door frames were multiplying

Fig 1 - three linear stretch morphs stretch left stretch-right stretch Up and the prop's native scale morphs you can adapt it a lot

fig 2 - second batch, only 1 batch to go !, then we can add the morphs and convert them to props

    fig 3 - the last batch of 58 ! For a grand total of .... 261 !! , i'll make it 260

though i think i have to re-cook that last batch ... done ( without this, they were repeats ! )

... monday ... the release will be monday

because i need some time to turn 260 objects (or 300) into morphing props

and as a bonus the door holes will all have the same initial size ( which may be zero by zero, )

WOW! That's a lot of crown molding and door frames to design some interesting rooms.

the moulding index for the 260 door frames ( a.k.a. U-Shaped frames )

i made the 280 thumbnail images so now, on to adding the 260 x 3 morphs

    so each door frame ( a.k.a. U-shaped-frame )
    will have 6 ( maybe 8 ) morphs
    topUp
    BottomDown
    WidenLeft
    widenRight
    leftBottomDown
    rightBottomDown

and oh lets do it so we wont regret it

    leftTopUp
    rightTopUp

    ok and why not

    leftTopWiden
    rightTopWiden
    leftBottomWiden
    rightBottomWiden

anyway each morph involves only a few dozen vertices

haha 5 seconds to create 12x260 morphs ! with a script

now did i make a mass prop exporter before? i think i did

the first DoorFrame prop is 24K
multiplied by 260 that's 6.24 megabytes, add the thumbnail icons and the geometries ... but once zipped it wont be a scary download

    it's late, but tonight's the night !

i just finished writing my mass prop exporter! , worked fine for 1 prop

then i just have to add the little icon pics you saw, package the whole thing and post it!

... nice i did use the proper names and png filetype on the thumbnails

done ! and i did test one of the props the morphs were functional and the materials ok ( they all are white RGB 252,252,252 not too glossy, no reflection )

tada ! the 260 door frames are in the can !

i just have to package, create a google web page for them, and i'll post the link right here !

but i think i see repeats ... checking .... hmm

i thought i had removed most of the duplicates ( which are not really duplicates , just symetric )
    ...
    you'll delete them wont you?,
but be careful some look very similar but are different shapes, or have lower/higher resolutions

on to the packaging room !!!

hey! 2.7 Megs for 260 props, not bad

READY READY READY READY READY READY READY

Note sorry but some of the frames are inside out
using default daz studio shaders this doesnt make much of a difference
    ( except maybe inverted bump/disp/norm maps )
but using 3delight shaders or cartoony shader they may render as black
so there will almost certainly be a new version Tuesday

it's just a 2.7 Megs download so, no biggie
