Luxrender Issues

Hi I'am trying to get Luxrender to work with no success, I have the net connection set, in Lux GUI I can input both servers IP addresses & get active sessions. When I render in Carrara, & I have set the path to the Lux directory, & switched from photo real to Lux via Luxus, Lux GUI does not pop-up nothing happens. Rendering is happening in Carrara, a window opens with a yellow back ground & all the frames render there. Depending on if i change settings to .jpg, I get yellow .jpg's, or if i don't change settings I get .lxs files. Have tried this with batch render, a new window opens blank & .lxs files start appearing in the Documents folder. Have gone through the Lux-Carrara manual, I'am not winging this, is anyone getting this to work?
