Alembic Exporter to Cinema 4D R25

Hey,
I recently purchased the alembic exporter to export my simulated dForce clothing as an animation.
I want to import it to Cinema 4D but it keeps saying that C4D can't read the file.
Also I can't see any progress UI after hitting the export .abc in Daz. It just freezes for some seconds and generetes the .abc file without showing me any progress.
Does anyone know how to fix it and get it running on C4D R25?

Hey, I have the same problem, did u solve that?
C4D R25 and Daz 4.20.0.2 Pro
Thanks!
For those who are having problems with Alembic Exporter from DAZ to C4D, here's what I discovered after putting together the info on various topics.
1 - There are two formats for Alembic, HDF5 and Ogawa
2 - The DAZ Alembic Exporter plugin generates the HDF5 format.
3 - C4D supports HDF5 format only up to version R21, that's why it gives the error “Unable to read file” when you try to open .abc from DAZ in C4D R25.
Solution
Open the .abc (HDF5) exported from DAZ in C4D R21 or earlier, export in Alembic Ogawa and this will resolve for C4D R25.
There is another way to convert by Houdini, but I haven't tried it.
Hi - you mentioned a way to convert by Houdini - any more info on that?
Use the Sagan exporter.
Thanks - will follow the link and take a look.
I know i'm quite late to this thread but here's a working workaround;
1. Export file using Alembic exporter in Daz
2. Open this abc file in any C4D version below R21
3. Re-export again as OGAWA .abc
4. Open your new abc file in the new version of C4D, everything should be imported correctly now!
Only issue i'm still having with this technique is that my SSS materials don't work on Alembic files for some reason, there's just no transmission/subsurface scattering, at all. Probably not on Daz's end though, I'm thinking it probably has something to do with either Cinema 4D itself or Octane Render
