Blender Posing Question

I don't seem to be able to get the most basic part. Watching [Blender 2.8/2.9] Rigify Tutorial #08 - Posing the Rigify rig - YouTube and around 1:35 he shows to use rig to move the hand. All he says is 'select the widget at the hand and move it, and the arm will move." However, when I select the widget, it doesn't move. Left click/hold doesn't grab it. Right click/hold doesn't grab it. I tried holding down some random keys, and figured out that 'R' with allow you to rotate the widget, but I can't move it. What am I missing?
Edited to add that I posted this here because the Daz forums are active and the Blender ones can take weeks to get a reply to a simple question. Usually a snarky reply.

'G' for grab and 'R' for rotate?
g for grab! Of course! I haven't done any Blender for years, I forgot that one.
You also have the gizmos on the left of the screen, move rotate scale, if you don't like shortcuts.
