Are you using the latest version obtained from here? https://github.com/David-Vodhanel/DazToRuntime/releases
I've heard that the bridge now works with UE5 Preview 2, though I haven't tested it myself.
For a proven workflow, I built the UE 5.0 branch from source and compiled the bridge. That is the only method I know of that I can confirm works.
the plugin does not work with UE5 preview 2
even the source can't be compiled
Not sure what the major differences are between the 5.0 branch and UE5 Preview 2, however I currently have the plugin working after building 5.0 branch from source. I have seen others have it working as well without building from source, but I don't know which version. But I can at least confirm it does work with the 5.0 branch here
UE 5.0 and PREVIEW 2 are completely different engine unfortunately.. i also was working on UE early access 2 no problemo with the plugin.
but now everything is different, more than 4.27 to 5
preview 2 it's a totally new engine, it's like an UE6.
even the python version has been updated, not only daz to unreal plugin does not work but all other handmade plugin that i used, because scripts with an old python version will not work in preview 2
What are you talking about UE6? 5 hasn't even gone into official release yet. LOL!
yes but the point is the plugin is not supported in PREVIEW 2
actually it's support if you take from here:

Does anyone know how to install this without having to compile the engine? I have been trying for 2 days, and it keeps failing. Giving me out of heap space errors. I tried placing the files in the unreal directory, yet givign me that need to compile with ide error. Its frustrating to go through almost 20 hours of compiling from the source and it erroring in the end the last hour.
you are using a modifiied version of unreal??? it don't need to compile anything, for install
here you can find install instructions
