Headshop Pro -- does it work?

How well does Headshop Pro work? Is it easy to use? Does anyone have any samples they have created to show how well it works?

What about CrazyTalk? You can export the character files to IClone. Not sure if you can export from IClone to DAZ.

    I don't use CrazyTalk.

Probably not well, I won't be buying it considering the issues with all the previous versions.

  • Oh good, the forum's back ... was trying to add a link to the commercial thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/556741/march-19-first-ever-headshoppro-at-daz-commercial

He provides support for his products.

Providing various folders are in certain places, providing the temp folder in D/S settings is to default, his products normally work. As to how easy - depends what results one is expecting I guess. Like all the face modeling plugins, you provide an image and the program does the work to make the figure morph. Keeping in mind a good deal of the 'accuracy' for who does it look like - is done by the image provided in the first place.

If you're on Windows 64bit, you may wish to try Face Transfer which is included in D/S. It presents the front of the face in as decent a fashion as any, and very quickly.

You are describing an installation error. It is usually caused by having several copies of DAZ Studio or not being sure where your DAZ Studio is installed.

I suggest you watch the how to install video: https://youtu.be/v3mtkh3-mrk

If still no luck pls. email Tech Support at [email protected] and we will skype/screen share. 100% succes.

In the video it says if you see "Start Headshop" in the edit menu, you have installed correctly

When I go to edit menu and click start headshop (it is there) I get the error message unable to find facebook.

I have the new Daz Studio installed on a new computer in the C drive

I have an older Daz Studio installed on a older computer,

    Same error.

    What did I do wrong?

Can you provide a listing of where installed files should be.

Thank you very much for time spent on this.

From what I have seen here, it is obvious the problem lies with me.

Have to add a few things, if I may.

    1. Although you might not believe this, my installation folders are all correcr

    2. Have to admit, use to different kind of products, you purchase, you install, you use.

When I encounter a program such as this I consider it a challenge to get it to work. This one beat me.

    3. I would venture to say have invested days (not hours) with this.

    I quit

    4. If it is me that has the problem, will not seek refund. Maybe someday......

    5. Again thank you

    P.S. One more question

    What is Faceshop?

Faceshop is what Headshop used to be called.

But please, since you could not get it to work, put in for a refund. Not all programs work on all computers. There is no sense to wasting money you don't have to waste ;-)

eta: Also the default temp location for D/S [Edit > Preferences ...] "has to be" to the default location.

    Catherine.....many many thanks...I'ii eat it......as a future lesson

    Thank you

  • Not working anymore on DAZ 4.20.0.17. And it was already too buggy, anyway. Money wasted, FaceGen works better after you get the right picture for it to use.

Very unhappy with this product, scant instructions, for the price horrible support. I a, very unhappy that Daz sells without a better explanation on what is rxactly needed to make it work. I was able to install it, but the product is substandard. It seems that it works on Genesis 9 well, but got Genesis 8.1 not so much.
