We want to see all the amazingly New Beginnings that you can muster up!!
The Rules For This Months Freebie Challenge are:
1. A minimum of (5) Freebies must be included in your image along with Links to the freebies you have used. For an item to be considered free it must be offered as a freebie for the whole month. The exception to this rule is all Daz Bi-Weekly Freebies will be allowed throughout the entire month in which they are free as well as the month following their release as a freebie (For a total of 2 months). Also, if a freebie is broken down into multiple downloads/links/parts (IE like if the freebie is broken down into 3 zips etc...)it only counts as 1 freebie, not 3.
2. There will be a Maximum of 5 purchased items.
3. Base figures (All Gen 2,3,4, and Genesis 1,2,3) as well as their general morphs packs (Morphs++ and similar) do not count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed
4.Your Rendered Picture must be a new render and postwork is allowed but you MUST include a before and after Postwork versions of your entry in the Entry Thread.
5. All DAZ 3D Programs are allowed (IE Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio and Hexagon) plus Poser for the contest.
6. All entries are subject to the Daz3D TOS Found Here: Terms Of Service
7. You may enter a Maximum of 4 Entries per month.
8. You may edit your entry as much as you like in the main thread but once it is posted to the "Entries Thread" it may not be further modified. Also, if you edit or add things, be sure you update any links or freebie changes you make.
This Freebie Challenge will end Saturday April 30, 2022 @ 23:59 Daz time.

Why exactly the same theme? Why not "A new beginning", "Starting over", "A fresh start" etc.? Why Saphirewild? Why? *tries to sound dramatic*

A new life

@ModernWizard - your hair is really great! I only just discovered it recently after the last contest, and I am always looking for nice hair models. (I've tried to model a few and they weren't very good.) The original hair texture reflected the light oddly in this render, which is why I used the OOT hair shaders.
@perlk -- why thank you! The original textures were made for 3DL when I didn't know much about rendering, so they're definitely weird. I'm glad that people still find the models useable after a few years!

Thanks I'll move them soon. As for the horns, sorry I didn't think about them as they are part of the character which was purchased (and noted) so it's not a separate item. It's like not using different parts of a single freebie as different ones to up the number of freebies used. I believe the same applied to purchased items too. That's part of the "challenge" of the freebie challenge! Personally, trying to keep all those links organized has been probably the most difficult part of freebie collecting... especially since I have the organizational focus of a mayfly with ADHD. I know some of the artists here have kept databases full of links of freebies downloaded over the years, some more elaborate than others (*cough* @JackyBrown *cough* 
) With almost a half a terabyte of freebies, most of which I have no idea if they are even available anymore, I have long since given up trying to organize anything!! 
Honestly, though the best part of the Freebie challenge for me, outside of trying out new techniques that I have learned... then forgotten... then learned again (did I already mention my similarity to a mayfly with ADHD?)... is viewing other's art work and sharing ideas and learning new techniques with other like-minded freebie collectors, making a bunch of mistakes and not have to worry about it! Bottomline? Don't quit, don't take the challenge too seriously (there are too many things in life that already require that), and just have fun here!
Oh, and I almost forgot all the off topic ramblings (like this one) and virtual pie fights... ~tosses one in for old times sake~
The Great Pie Fight
I have no database to use. Just going through the files in "mylibrary" and using what looks good. Changing, replacing, etc. Keeping track during the process is distracting for me so I don't do it then. So when I get something I like, I then have to go back thru each item and try to find where I got in from, what it's call, and who uploaded it. I use that info for a google search and hope I can find it. If I can, I copy the link and add it to a text file created as part of the entry text. That's where I messed up this time. Sometimes I find things were bought so I usually have to delete them from the scene and try and find a replacement.
You're lucky to have your organizational skill, since it's better than my total lack of such a skill. All in all, in a directory I have 12,691 zip , 7z, or rar files that have the actual download items all together. The total of actual items is much greater, though most are free, or gifts, as living on social security means I have very little left for spending on hobbies. Guess I should seperate them into three (or more parts) base on purchased, gifts but not free, and free stuff, but given my age and way to many medical conditions to list, I don't think I'll have enough time to do that. So going back to find things isn't always an easy task fo me.
Anyway, cheers. I'll move the entry sometime tomorrow.
Wow, sounds challenging. This is actually a great hobby for anyone with a limited budget. There is so much great free stuff out there to be found... I'll probably run out of ideas before I run out of freebies!
One quick and free method to create a database is to use Google Sheets. There are a ton of different ways to set it up. You can be as simple or elaborate as you want. I'm a very visual person so I like to through in a tiny thumbnail so I know what the freebie was. Like I said, I am definitely not the best example of this, but it works for me (when I actually keep it up)
I don't use any database either, I store the download links to the freebies in my browser's bookmarks. I also keep track of the Content that I installed in a simple textfile, purchased items and freebies separately listed. The items that I load into a scene, I rename them including the creator's name. A little practice helps and mistakes will always be made. Like @Sky77 said, just have fun here! : ) And, *cough cough*, thanks for the compliment Sky! ; )
