Portrait-lighting tutorial (PDF, 24 pages)
Hi, all.
I've had a lot of good advice from these forums over the years, so I thought I'd give something back in the form of a portrait-lighting tutorial.
As the forum doesn't support PDF files, here's a Dropbox link
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a photographic portrait in Daz Studio. You’ll do many of the things that a photographer would do when shooting a portrait:
* Set up a studio.
* Choose and style a subject.
* Pose the subject.
* Add ambient light.
* Apply a key light, fill light and rim light.
Comments and questions are welcome.
Tim.

WOW :-):-)
Thank you so much.
You have to set up a dropbox account to download this?!
You shouldn't need to. Just close the sign-in window using the "x" in the upper-right-hand corner.
If it's a problem, I'll upload it elsewhere.
Thank you very much, Tim. Although I do have a Dropbox account, I downloaded it without signing in.
Very generous, thank you.
And to confirm, no we do not need an account, had to click that x about 3 times before the download button actually downloaded the file. File downloads quickly though so no problems.
Thank You, I have read it quickly but will have to try it in DS after all. Thanks a lot, it is just thing that I need :D
Glad to hear that everyone's enjoying it.
Thanks for sharing =-)
Glad you enjoyed it, folks.
The forum won't let me edit the original post for some reason. Anyway, here's an updated link that stores the file at ShareCG. I've also changed the licensing terms to a Creative Commons license. Feel free to share the link.
Cheers,
Tim.
