I just dowloaded daz 3d studio pro 4.2 but keep seeing online discussions about version 4.9.

I do not see any download for 4.9. how com the download was not the latest version and how do you upgrade from 4.2 to 4.9?

No, you downloaded 4.20(.0.17 probably). Version numbers are not decimals, as the multiple dots show, so the zeros are significant (major version 4, minor version 20, revision 0, build 17).

It is not 4.2, it is 4.20 and this is the latest version.
