wow, thanks for putting these all together and sharing them!
that took some time and effort.
appreciated,

Thank you for your understanding and appreciation. It wasn't too tedious to do though - not as bad as it might seem. People were asking me to compile a list of my head morphs for some time and I thought that would indeed be helpful for everyone - me included. Why not then?
cool, to summarize your summary
Glad you approve, nonesuch00.
... tippying toeing in, I have re-upped my Rockabilly Hair for those that missed it and want it. Forum Link.
Great idea, Catherine. Thank you!
Now that all the threads are in one place, I can see some which I have missed.
Featuring Punkette and Deadly Dame
Great fun, DoctorJellybean! Thank you so much for posting your artwork!
Any chance you might consider doing one for James Dean in the future?
He was gone long before his time and so many have no idea what a great young man and actor he was.
Sculpting James Dean is definitely a possibility. I was thinking about him but I don't know when I'll decide to tackle him. Anyway, stay tuned, Shadowchaser.
Oh I definitely will :)
Can you please do Peter Lorre next?
That's a good idea. After all he starred in 5 movies with Bogart together. I'll put him on my "to do" list but I don't know when I'll make him - I don't plan ahead who's morph will be next.
Thank you so much for these more than wonderful morphs!! I love the classic movies and actors!!
I hope to download all tomorrow!!!
Really impressive work!
Jan_Scrapper and Jonstark - thank you very much for appreciating my work and have fun with the morphs!
I guess you have been busy teaching yourself Maxxon 4CD as you've noty posted in a while.
I did do about 3 hours of zBrush Mini 2022 but my 10+ year old Wacom Bamboo Create was not up to the task. I will by buying myself a new digital tablet with integrated monitor (not the PC computing part like a MS Surface though) and try again later this year.
In the meantime I have been doing Blender tutorials teaching old fashioned box modeling. I am enjoying it very much, but doing things slowly to make sure I am doing as the instructors intends.
It is pretty fun too, so I've been doing no renders in DAZ Studio to speak of, although I do buy a bit of DAZ product with each new set of DAZ+ coupons every month.
Have fun in C4D.
Hi nonesuch00,
Sounds like you are spending your time in a fun and productive way! What do you plan to model that you are learning box modeling?
I don't have access now to Cinema 4D or Zbrush or Zbrushcore but I have been watching the Udemy tutorials for C4D which have 22 hours on modeling. The amount of information is so overwhelming though that I would just get distracted because it was too much for me. I found a book for C4D R25 on Amazon and bought it for Kindle. When I return home to my computer that has C4D installed on it, I will go through the entire book and boost the knowledge gained from it with the Udemy tutorials. I'll be back home in mid March.
In the meantime I have updated DS on the computer I have access to now and (when I have time) I'm making renders. One of them is with my Blade Runner morphs PI and Lady Noir both for G8.1F (Rachael and Deckard):

Thank you for dropping by to check on me, nonesuch00. It's good to hear from you.

I admit I was a bit worried as you were turning out so many morphs there for a while. Your new Blade Runner render is great.
I just finished doing about a 1000 points worth of tutorial activities at CGCookie as I have a year subscription but none of the tutorials involved character modeling, some did involve box modeling though. Instead I did animation tutorials and Blender basics tutorials to prepare me for character modeling as I've box modeled characters a couple times before and I am not a 'natural' at it; same as everything else I have to work, work, work. When I tried to find a current tutorial course on character modeling via the box modeling method on CGCookie I couldn't find one suitable for my beginner's skill level or any skill level at all either. I didn't look long though. I did find plenty of digital sculpting tutorials there, but as I I need a new modern tech digital tablet those will have to wait.
So instead I am doing box modeling of toon characters as taught by Darren Lile on YouTube. He has a monthly-sub. I'm pretty happy with how easy it's been for me to follow him so far but I've not gotten far in yet to more complicated concepts. The particular tutorial set is one for a character he named Steampunk Kid. I will do that character, then 4 - 12 other toon characters I choose from amongst my favorite cartoons so to get very thoroughly trained in these techniques. I will post renders in the Blender section of the DAZ forums and give you a heads up if you are curious as I finish each character. As you might imagine that much modeling of so many characters is more than a 3 or 4 week tutorial exercise, but I'm going for it and will be glad when I finish all of them repeatedly box modeling so as to be able to knock new ideals off dependably if I need to in the future.
Basically that is my self-assigned full-time injury rehabilitation job the 1st 1/2 to 3/4s of this year. My house/yard repairs is down to occasional weekends of work. Then come sometime between July - Oct I will then switch over to refamiliarizing myself with programming/math as that's what my degrees are in. I've considered earnestly going back to professional work but I've been there and done that, it leaves me very uninspired to go back to 8 - 6 grinds and commutes when the financial and free time rewards they offer are so lacking, so time now for something completely different. I'm hoping 3D modeling and programming combined will lead to something interesting towards the end of this year.
I'm sorry that I haven't written something earlier, so you wouldn't have to worry about me. I am doing fine and you are a total sweetheart to think about me.
Thank you for checking out my Blade Runner render and your kind words about it.
Wow! I see you are really serious about your computer training. From what you are writing it looks like you want to turn this hobby into a full time work, which is a great idea. Working from 8 to 6 in a dull and exhausting job is soul-killing. I've been there and done that too. That is doubly true if you are healing from serious injuries. It's not only that the body cannot handle the stress, it is also that when we undergo such kind of challenges, our outlook on what is important and and what we want from life changes.
Around 10 years ago I was so sick I've spent half a year in bed in great pain and lo and behold - this changed the way I approach my life. For the better, I must say.
Yes, I'd love to see your blender work, so please let me know when you post it online!
I cannot wait to get back to sculpting head morphs. I am also thinking about making some furniture sets for DS (in C4D which I need to learn first) but I'm not sure yet. I do tend to change my mind and come up with new ideas fairly quickly, so even I cannot say what I'll be up to tomorrow! LOL.
I also have some commitments to fulfill - James Dean and Peter Lorre head morphs. I'm not sure if I'll try to make them for G8.1M or G9. That will depend totally on how limited I will feel by the topology of G8.1. I'll start with G8.1 and if the polycount proves too low for these characters, I'll switch to G9, I guess
Talk to you later.
Cheers,
AOBB
No need to hurry an answer but there are what seem to be many good digital tablets with a monitor integrated. Does it matter alot which brand I choose? I see Wacom, Huion, Gaomon, and XP-Pen.
This one seems to give the most drawing screen space for the least money ($359 after a $90 coupon is applied on Amazon).
Amazon.com: GAOMON PD2200 130%sRGB Full-Laminated Pen Display with 8192 Battery-Free Tilt-Support Stylus 8 Touch Buttons -21.5'' Graphics Drawing Tablet Monitor with Adjustable Stand : Electronics
This might come as a surprise but I don't use a tablet at all. I could never get used to it (I tried two - both Wacoms), so for me the good old mouse it is. That said, from what I see online, artists usually use Wacom tablets and I've heard this piece of advice that the smaller tablets are easier to handle - you don't have to move your hand so much and they don't take up much space on your desk. That's the only two cents of wisdom I can provide, unfortunately.
Maybe one day I'll have the cash to buy one of those large touch-screen monitors. That should do the trick for me.
LOL - I just now looked at the tablet/monitor you've picked. That is exactly what I would like to get one day! I see it has good reviews, so it probably is pretty decent. Right now I've checked GAOMON's opinions online and they are very good, so I'd say this will probably be a good buy.
Edit: I found this Wacom - Gaomon comparison here and they review the tablet/monitor you've picked!:
https://www.archisoup.com/studio-tools/wacom-vs-gaomon
Yes, it does look like a very good product.
Interesting you said you do better sculpting with a mouse. My Wacom Bamboo Create does sculpt but the sensitivity / pressure levels seem to be wrong or not working. I found in those 3 hours of zBrush Mini tutorials that I had an easier time with the mouse rather than with the tablet. I tho ugh it was my old tablet being the problem but I guess it's just difficult to learn. So maybe if I buy a tablet it will wind up being unused anyway. I'll buy one in the next few months and risk it I guess.
So then you are saying you sculpted all your 40s Stars for DS morphs using a mouse? I wouldn't have thought it possible, but I'm wrong I see.
Yup, I've done all my sculpts using a mouse. I've been modeling with the mouse for so long, that I became really proficient at it. Also, I have a 27" screen and work in closeups, so that helps with the details. I have a second 27" screen for putting up references only and I use this really nifty program PureRef (which is dirt-cheap btw and excellent) to organize the references and save them as collages as well as a drawing guide I use to trace over the features of my models when I make the program's interface semi-transparent and overlay it over the model.
My problem with the tablet was that I had to constantly switch to the regular keyboard anyway which made the whole process pretty cumbersome. Maybe the current tablets have solved this issue - maybe the ones with monitor screen can show a keyboard, just like on a cellphone or something like that. No idea. It's been a while since I have looked into tablets.
It's good to know that not all hope is lost if I can't sculpt with a darn using a tablet.
Yes, using a tablet is optional imo.
I don't mean to repeat myself or bother you, but you are an incredible talent. I was downloading famous morphs all the way back to the Moggadeet morphs!!
Thank you, Jan_Scrapper! I haven't heard of the Moggadeet morphs before, so I checked them out - really cool!
I personally don't consider myself to be a great talent, I just enjoy the process and that probably helps with the quality of the morphs. It is a lot of work though, so I wouldn't say that "I'm a natural".
Oh, you aren't bothering me, Jan - it always boosts my motivation to make another morph, when someone says a nice word about my work!
Again, thank you for your kindness and for taking time to drop by with a compliment.
Cheers,
AOBB
I loved working with your morphs! They are so beautiful and I will have a lot of fun.
I thought I would work with Audrey today! No, I didn't get the hair right or the pose, but I had fun!!
