3D Art Freebie Challenge June+July 2022 - "The secret life of ..." - Main Thread Only
The secret life of ...
in this case chess figures, but there are so many other options, the secret life of slugs, pirates on holiday, carpet crawlers
so many things we don't know, show us what you found out!
Note that the time for this challenge is two month June and July!
The Rules For This Months Freebie Challenge are:
1. A minimum of (5) Freebies must be included in your image along with Links to the freebies you have used. For an item to be considered free it must be offered as a freebie for the whole month. The exception to this rule is all Daz Bi-Weekly Freebies will be allowed throughout the entire month in which they are free as well as the month following their release as a freebie (For a total of 2 months). Also, if a freebie is broken down into multiple downloads/links/parts (IE like if the freebie is broken down into 3 zips etc...)it only counts as 1 freebie, not 3.
2. There will be a Maximum of 5 purchased items.
3. Base figures (All Gen 2,3,4, and Genesis 1,2,3) as well as their general morphs packs (Morphs++ and similar) do not count as a purchased item or a freebie and may be used as needed
4.Your Rendered Picture must be a new render and postwork is allowed but you MUST include a before and after Postwork versions of your entry in the Entries Thread.
5. All DAZ 3D Programs are allowed (IE Bryce, Carrara, Daz Studio and Hexagon) plus Poser for the contest.
6. All entries are subject to the Daz3D TOS Found Here: Terms Of Service
7. You may enter a Maximum of 4 Entries per month.
8. You may edit your entry as much as you like in the main thread but once it is posted to the "Entries Thread" it may not be further modified. Also, if you edit or add things, be sure you update any links or freebie changes you make.
This Freebie Challenge will end July 31st 2022 @ 23:59 Daz time.

Well thank both of you for the challenge! Atm i am not participating as I am relying too much on bought items, but i love scrolling through the renders and having a look at and sometimes downloading the freebees, of which you have created now with the help of the participants an impressive collection - great job!
@mding I have a similar struggle, I need my props to be commercially usable which many of the freebies don't do, or just with reference. Which is relatable but keeping track of which ones do would kill me to organize

As a newbie to the forums I got a bit overwhelmed with all the challenges that are out there.
This does sound like an interesting challenge and I have a nice idea for it. Glad that I'll have plenty of time for it.

It's now past the middle of the month. I guess I'm not the only one having a problem figuring out what to try to render this month. Unless I missed one, I don't think there have been any entries. If this dry spell keeps going I won't have one either. Can't seem to come up with anything. Good luck.

Only 3 of the 8 weeks have passed, so there is still plenty of time. I have some nice ideas that I'm slowly working out, I think I'll definitely send in at least one render this month, perhaps even more. I hope for strong competition... ; )

The Secret Life of Betsy
This mare likes to throw parties. I'm not super happy about the quality of this, I couldn't get it to be what I had in my imagination. I think it's the stolid farm animals. They're so wooden. I even put bones in the sheep and goat to try to make them turn their heads, but it looks stupid if I move them too much. It made me realize how sad the situation with the number of free animal figures with moving parts is out there.
Paid: Daz Horse 2; wood shader on beams, (also, I think the light shader on the primitive was a freebie from a newsletter, no longer free)
Nice first entry, I will have to change the idea I had because I only just noticed the 5 bought products...
So I'll change the scenes I had made and will use mostly free items instead of the other way round.
I have another one in the works (because why not) but I'm sort of stuck on how to get it to fit the theme exactly. It's more like, what happens in secret rather than a secret life...hmmm.

Oops, missed that requirement. glad I didnt use many bought items,
I notice that besided the jeans I also missed references for the sweater and the lipstick.
Probably because those were already in my freebie library instead of recently added for this challenge so I'll have to search for the links.
One of the most challenging thing about this challenge was keeping track of what items you used and all the links to them
@perlk It could very well be that they are yours, I think it was something like "open fly jeans" but ill edit tonight.
Must admit I find it takes at least as long to compile the list as it does to create the image. Using an Android tablet as my internet connection machine at home does not help with copy, paste & hyperlinking of web addresses.

Jup the jeans were yours, I have added all the links to my library now so when I ever need to reference the sourses again I can check my library for them since it is hard to keep track of what is used.
