I would love some feedback on some of my renders. They are not super special most are lit with free HDRIs and camera mounted light

reflectivewanderer,
Welcome and thanks for sharing your work!
It looks like you're using two lights (at least) in your renders, particularly the three colored ones. For the ones with dark background, I would suggest another light, a rim light, particularly on the hair, to separate the figure from the background. Better yet, if you have a prop on the background, yet another light, a soft one cast obliquely on that background surface would introduce depth to the scene. (In studio photography in w/c a simple curtain is used, a lamp shines diagonally at the back prop.)
I'm partial to black and white head shots. Catch lights? In a B&W portrait, the subject's eyes are the main attraction. Catch lights adds sparkle to them. If you've come around to it, I also recommend using the depth of field feature of the Daz camera. You can mimic large apertures, giving the subject a smooth, buttery dof treatment.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
Welcome! I'm glad you found Daz Studio! 3D art and Daz Studio can be a little challenging to learn at first but also lot of fun. You're off to a great start!
I see your first character was a Mousso - good pick!
The renders are lovely. It's hard to believe you've only been at it for about a week. You should have seen my renders a week in - SO BAD! lol Yours are great! The purple hair one got a little "blown out", you might try a light that isn't quite so bright, but other than that these each are good renders! NICE!
