Isn't retopology a standard to ensure good bend?

Moved to Art Studio since it is a question about content creation, not Daz Studio.

That is a sweeping statement. Good topology is certainly desirable, some tools that produce mesh may often need their output retopolgised. Clothing sold through the Daz store is made by a wide range of people, using a wide range of tools - soem may use something like Marvellous designer or ZBrush, some may feel more need to retopolgise the result than others, and tools or techniques used will vary. QA will assess how well the product works.

Many are retopologized.  some few are not. Some are built on the figures using quads from the start.  Lots of variations.  Yet all work at render time.
