Ok…I have tried to remember where I got this scene from but can not. I went through a thousand read mes to try to find it. When I load it in Daz, it seems to come up as “backyard”. It is a very low poly scene and loads immediately. It came with some other options. A parking lot ground was one of them. Here is a few shots of it with options. I can not find any info on it.

Nope that is not it. I found this render at sharecg and it IS the model. They said it was “Sunny Backyard” by Red Viper. I tried to find it there but could not.

Redviper's “Sunny Backyard” & "Private Beach" can be found at http://viper2012.s602.xrea.com/x/

    Nice pic
My drag strip finish line is almost done but on hold due to sad situation here
I found my cousin had passed away sometime between 0330 and 0830 last Friday morning
I talked to him around 3 and when I got up and went tell him I was going to run the errands he was unresponsive
Medics said he had been dead about 3 hours

So sorry to hear that Robert. I played in a band here locally for 6 years every weekend. Bass guitar and lead vocals. The rhythm guitar player took over my place on bass when I left the band due to a near death auto crash in 2004. I could no longer play after the surgery I went through on my left arm. Three weeks ago he passed away after a sudden heart attack at his home. Now they want me to take his place, but I just can't. Best to let this one lie and close the book on this band. I too, like you, had just talked with him on Facebook about an hour before he passed away. So, I kinda know how you feel. They are not gone Robert, just their bodys. Their souls will live on with us forever.

Can someone tell me how to upload a photo on this forum?

I choose attach a file, choose my photo and it just says uploading, I waited at least 1/2 hour and nothing.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone else not seeing posted images with this new forum style DAZ started?

  • GLWoodardGLWoodard Posts: 3,335

I believe someone somewhere messed up, while I was able to attach a file, it still doesn't show up well like the old system did.

...yeah, the only way toi get bigger images instead of the postage stamp thumbnail is to upload them from a URL.  More effort to do something that once only took a single click.

Seems "new and improved" these days is synonymous with having to do twice as much (or more) as you used to in order to perform a simple task.

Crikey I can't even get spell checking as I type anymore without having to turn it on every time I start a post as the software overrides FF's automatic spell checker.

Yeah, I can see that one. It's the images posted before the forum change that I can't see.

Spell checker is working for me just fine i use firefox. and chorme.

I know its a rather inconvenience . But at least wait until after daz is finished developing the forums and see if they turn on the upload and embeding features when they are done..  I agree right now its a pain in the asres to have to use work arounds but it takes time to implements everything  you just can't do it all at once.  I believe Daz  is turning each feature on the forum and debugging that feature and then turn something else on  , we have already see them fixs a lot already. I'm willing to wait and see what happens with the forums until they are finshed , until then i use work arounds :) even if they are a inconvenience, the only reason i can figure daz is doing it the way they are, is so they can preserve the book marks older post and etc.  I'm willing to wait to see how things are before passing any judgements so far i actually like the new layouts myself. but that is just my opinon :)

    Have a nice day

Clicking on the place holder for the older images returns "page not found", so it seems like all the old images have got lost somehow. But it must have happened after the change of forum software, because the images were still there right after the change.

...I checked all my FF settings and everything is the way it's supposed to be.  Auto spell check works on every site I use (as well as Gmail) except here. I either have to click the "source" button (which also shows all the codes including those for symbols like apostrophes and quotes) or the forum spellcheck and then click again to enable SCAYT each time I write a post.

This should have seen more beta testing before it was dumped on us.  In automotive terms, this forum needs a recall issued.

Yes, I can see your images Ivy.

a car than I did in that one. I also lived in Greeneville Tn, for a year and a half, and moving there from Chicago was a very

pleasant surprise. Beautiful state and wonderful people.

How did you get your images loaded?

    Hi Art

I am using a work around

please follw these instructions once you get use to doing it this way it will only take a few seconds extra .. even if it is a Inconvenient its still a work around until daz come to their senses and turn on the upload and embeded features..lol

Okay  first thing. every one of these " < " symbols I put is a step in the process..lol

< One Upload attachment by using the "attach file" link at the bottom of the text box.. and upload your file. and then hit post comment

<Next click your attached file to view the original size of your piciture and copy that url.

<now click edit your post. in the top right hand comer of your post. and drag & drop that file into the text box .and double click it. this will open the text editor . and then next replace the url with the full size picture URL  click the  you can set your size and your tabs locations from the text editor. make sure to  check the url tab in the picture editor and if you need to also add the url there of the original attachment as well if it has not already done it automatically for you.

< now hit save and view your post you should have 2 pictures like in my post. a thumbnail size one and a larger one

I set the picture editor too 600 pixels for mobil which best views for smart phones :)

thats it. its just a  work around sorry for the inconvenience of so many steps

this is my real car in my driveway

Can those who are experiencing the problem with images please post details in this thread, rather than discussing it amongst yourselves.  If we have a list of those affected and some details we may be able to help the Web Dev track down the problem  http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/59030/images-are-vanishing-from-the-old-threads#latest

    Thankyou

Just after the war, she finds herself in front of her (new to her) house, a dreamhouse! Of course, she does have a "NEW CAR", her 1948 Crysler Town and Country!

The original, rendered in DAZ Studio 4.8, in Iray, using Tom2099 Iray car shaders for the paint and the chrome.

That's probably the best idea I've heard yet...

Anyway, keeping in line with this thread...(YES!!!!! If you go into the image editor on the second tab 'link' if you change the Target to _blank/New Window, it will open it in a new window/tab.)
