George Speaks in Carrara
I need to relook at that unfitted chest armour I bet I forgot to convert it to Blended weights in D|S
Captain Carrara... love it!! Silene
The Exile
Was not able to get the eyes textures to load and the eyelash transperancy to work, any ideas? I tried posting another image but the forums was not letting me load for some reason.
you would need to put those maps in manually as often you need to anyway for Genesis 2
the iray shaders are largely the issue as were the AoA shaders
you may be able to save a DZdefault one in D|S
I just save a few presets to my carrara browser myself to reuse for corneas eyelashes and eye moisture in this case (tear in earlier figures)
George talks like an Aussie woman!
there's a mitten with helper shaders under shader tab, presets, shader, skin, genesis 3 mitten, mitten and mitten
from the Exile promos, doesnt look like he has eyelashes. could use the cornea transparency there
tee hee
george knows we want what?
cupcakes and hot cocoas?
Harley Quinn !
that's what I thought as well..... George must be a Victorian
Zarina in Carrara...
she looks nice. dangly beads nice extra detail. and the wrinkles on the pants
Thank you very much! Thank you, Misty for the joy that you granted to all and to everyone!
Great render Yyusur.
Another one from me, Yodkin by RawArt.
Great job, Stezza, Vyusur, and Bunyip. I think Misty should get a cut of subsequent Genesis 3 figure content sales from Carrara users.
The new Creech loaded into Carrara.
do the fins/webbing work on this fella in Carrara?
and have you played around with the bump/normal maps and displacement to get more detail from it?
looks cool
Hello Stezza, the fins/webbing is a geograft - I had no joy trying to get it to work.
No I didn't do anything with the bump/normal maps, but they look quite good in the texture folder.
@Bunyip02
ah, thanks for that info, I'll give that one a miss and just stay with the old poser one
Play around with the displacement you may get some more detail out of it.. but manualy enter the values, I usually start at 0.001 and work up from there till it starts to fall apart lol
Looks better after the Displacement & Normal maps added.
I wonder if G4 will work in Carrara... info via twitter by Daz
Just saw the same twitter attachment
Here is the Commons thread https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/174606/genesis-8-coming-on-20th-of-june#latest

It's incorrect information. Daz was using a third party to schedule some social media posts. We recently stopped using them, but it appears that during the transition a sample test post that had been sitting around accidentally got scheduled instead of deleted. I have removed it from facebook and am hunting down the Twitter post as well. I especially love the v7 and m7 images on it. Sigh, chuckle, shake my head, and I apologize all.
Genesis 8? And I am in the middle of working on a full body morph for Misty's G3M character.
@diomede I thought as much... I did post on FB that someone else must have the SM password lol
looks like I was right
back to normal scheduled morphing...
As I could see, this is not V7 and M7 on the image above. It seemed to me that it was slightly morphed G3 base female and slightly morphed G2 base male (Phillip).
lol! I love that cow! Where can I get one? I want to introduce them to my cats.
Ha! I used the Mystery Machine in the keepsake video of my last play! Great picture Stezza!
Wait, Genesis3 is compatible wit Carrara? It always crashes when I've tried to load a G3 model. G, G2 and Victoria/Michael 5 have worked okay.
I still can't decide which I want to stick with and start building a library. I feel like the knowledge of different character series is kinda like that of guitars, or drums, where you gain an understanding of the different types of wood and such, and the different tones they provide, etc. As you use the different DAZ characters, it seems you gain an understanding of what each generation brings to the table.
Anyway, I'm rambling :p.
Mistara the Magnificent has edited the G3 files to extract the icky stuff that makes Carrara crash. The results include a G3F and a G3M character set that can be loaded in Carrara and still use the morphs made for G3. To conform, G3 clothing must first be converted to blended weights.
The products are available at that other site that rhymes with monstrosity. Can't link to the store site. The character names are Janette (G3F) and Johnathon (G3M).
the moo is here........................>
thankyou evil one.... did you know there is a good mystery machine model in the freebie section which is pretty good
Thanks for the link... it's mine... mine I tellya
