using Blender to make clothes for genesis/2 for use in Daz and ultimately in Carrara
EDIT: see second post for link to actual tutorial
Go here. It is one thread to read through and participate in if you want to integrate Blender's modeler instead of Carrara's to make clothes for genesis and genesis 2 figures.
http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/42075/
That thread has a lot of other additional useful information from Sickleyield on tips for using the transfer utility, smoothing modifiers, etc. that apply no matter which modeler you choose to use.
I personally find Carrara an easier tool because I can load genesis and genesis 2 natively, apply shapes, etc. instead of fooling with an extra level of import/export. My basic Carrara workflow for genesis/2 can be found in this other thread.

and here http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/45361/P45/#770055
But like I said, that first thread has great information on making content for genesis/2 and using the transfer utility no matter which modeler you choose (hexagon, blender, carrara, silo,...)

EDIT: Note - Sickleyield has a tutorial on Deviantart which I don't think I can link to directly. But you can find it by googling
