[WIP] High heels for G3F

Just started on this. It's a single mesh for the whole thing. I want to see if I can make this automatically size and fit regardless of morphs. May end up being a script or plugin, but my goal is that you only need to bend the foot and the script will autofit the shoes and pose the toes. So this will have adjustable heel size. For now, they are quite high. This might all be too ambitious of a project, but too often a new figure will make the shoes get distorted or I have to manually create morphs to change the height.

Anyhow, the point of this topic is to get some feedback. I'm looking for critical comments. Let me know if it sucks and what in particular so I can try to fix it. And don't hold back.

I didn't put the seams on the inner side or in the back. It adds to the realism, but is it necessary? Wonder if a normal map would work just as well?

I've never sold anything on DAZ, so I don't know what the process is. Guess I'll contact them at some point, but if someone knows the process, please let me know.

Oh, I guess I need to know if anyone would anyone want to buy this? If so, any other styles you want to see? And errr... this kind of item is pretty much out of my element. So let me know exactly what you want. I'm thinking maybe high heel sandals next.

    Looks nice! : )

  • Oh, I redid them. The soles were too narrow. I have a few other styles almost ready to go as well.

But right now, I'm actually working on a pair of high heel sandals. The mesh is done, but I work during the day so I only have the odd weekends to work on this. I've been fiddling with the UV map trying to get a cleaner result. I'm almost done a plugin (for Lightwave) that will do what I want. The UV will be done this weekend. Next, I need to fix the rigging to support different heights and different shapes. The morphs are no problem. But making it fit different shapes without distortion is a little tricky. I'm looking into using rigidity to see if that'll help. Otherwise, I may just package it without textures but with a few settings for a few G3F models and finish the rest later. I think I'll be releasing this one for free. Really wish I had more free time lol.

Here's a link to another thread where I post some other shoes including the high heel sandals.
