when you are on the list of threads, beside the gear icon at the righ is a little star, clicking on that allows you to set up a bookmark

But where does it save that bookmark? How do I access it later?

Click the little gear in the upper right corner and select "My Bookmarks", and it should show you a list of the threads you have bookmarked (threads you are subscribed to).
