I'm just working on an animation and after deleting a keyframe, my character disappears.
I "save as" the project and I think he'll come back but nothing, he's died and he's skeleton only is there.
No no, it is not Genesis, it's M3 and I work on C8.1.
Does anyone knows this issue ?

Deleting keyframes can be dangerous. Especially at t=0 cuz that's where a lot of the initial configuration stuff is stored. And until recently there was a bug in Carrara (which they fixed) where deleting even position info at t=0 would make things go crazy, and it wouldn't inherit the position info from subsequent keyframes. Or something like that.
Just keep in mind that keyframes hold a lot of data, so you probably deleted something you really wanted to keep.
Reminds me of an old joke:
Patient goes into a doctor's office.
Patient: "Gee, Doc, it hurts when I do this
Doctor: "Well don't do that"
(rimshot...)
I never said it was a funny joke, just seems appropriate.
Thanks for the answer Doctor Joe !
I know that it's not good to delete the first keyframes, especialy the hot point, but here it's the abdmoen in the middle of the timeline.
It's the first time in my life I have this problem.
You said it was a bug, is it corrected now, in wich version ?
It looks like a bug or... Michael 3 is really dead .
Very sad !
can you still save the animation as a NLA clip?
no I have never seen this happen before on a non-first frame key either, you hadn't unlocked him with Fenric's plugin by any chance?
You are a genius, that works !
I don't have this plugin of Fenric, but I had thought that the .bvh exporter would be useful in this case.
Your solution is excellent, thank you !
