A couple more....
Magnifique !
Ca me donne envie de retourner me balader par là bas...
Aha, my favourite kind of wine - and a very nice area generally. I'm looking forward to this one.
Equisitely beautiful. You have outdone yourself, sir.
Very beautiful. I would love to have it.
Oh wow, that looks even better than Provence which is one of my favourite cityscape sets (just behind Medieval Docks and Le Faubourg) :)
Luc,
This is wonderful. I've recently invested in a 4 ghz I7 with 32GB and a 970 to go with it. I can't wait to introduce it to this set.
Cheers,
Alex.
Lovely! Do the doors open?
Gimme gimme gimme!!!!!!
I notice a lot of repetition in the textures. Are these just working textures or are they staying like that because of file sizes and such?
@Jodel: No, the doors don't open unfortunately. I would have to create interiors for each building, there are 32 of them, given that the poly count is already high (close to 1 million), it wouldn't be reasonable.
@BlumBlumShub: The textures are staying like this. You are right, it's because of memory usage. As it is, it uses 172 maps.
172 maps and I bet I still can't find the bathroom!
If you render in Iray you could use Decal nodes to add dirt or ivy to break up the textures, though of course you would need maps (hmm, maybe that's a product idea for a PA).
Good idea. I'll have to check out what this Iray thing is really capable of, it always looks grainy to me. I do like the look of this product, I'm already saving some pennies for it.
Amazing. WOW..... Can one just load bits at a time to keep resources happy or does the whole scene need to load up? Looks amazing!
You'll need to load the whole scene up at least once. From there you can save the props one by one. The village is made of 9 blocks: 7 blocks of buildings, a base and a water prop. Flowers, benches, tables etc are all individual props.
Can you tell us what the entire scene is in MB's fully loaded?
Fully loaded it takes a little over 2gb of RAM
OK. Thanks so much!
Amazing!!! Yet another impeccable product to add to my FAveral collection. I've never been to France, but viewing the promos, I ALMOST feel as if I HAVE!! Can't wait...
This looks great!
Will this be available for Poser or just Daz?
I use Poser files for Carrara 7Pro (no DUF capability)
Thanks
@Tsarist: Yes, there are 3 versions. Poser 3dl and Iray
Oh wow!!!! That's amazing!! I love your work.. you have really outdone yourself with this one!! Wishlisted already!!!
is this an addon for Medieval docks or standalone
I want either way but just curious
it will compliment http://www.daz3d.com/harpsburg-for-carrara nicely too
No, it's not an add-on for Medieval Docks. It's a standalone. Actually it's a contemporary set. And you're right Howie's set would be a good match to it.
Iray, too! Now, I'm even more excited.
Cheers,
Alex.
Wow, amazing. I've not got a need, but I like it so much that I am going to see if I can incorporate it into my next project.
It's beautiful. Now I just have to save up so I can buy it!
I will get when I have a working PC, mine decided to play dead today hope fixable.
Woohoo - my husband has just bought it for my birthday! Off to play now.
