Duane Bryers' 'Hilda' Inspired Art

I am using Duane Bryers' Hilda artwork as inspiration so I can learn how to better stage my scenes and capture those carefree and wild moments Hilda portrayed. I won't always stay true to his examples as I prefer to tell my own story. I collected as many of his Hilda works as I could find and arranged them in a 'story' order. So far I have found 320+ of them!

Rosi's move to the big city isn't as exciting as she had hoped. Between the smelly alleys, rude neighbors, and bad weather, she is more than done with this bad day.

This was rendered in Daz Studio in 3Delight with minimal postwork in Photoshop. For this specific image, I had to mock up a reversed umbrella and figure out textures since most of my shader library is Iray. Fun times. :p
Great colors and the composition. I like it very much.
I have abandoned 3Delight myself, because switching between it and iray was taken so much time.
Oh, I love that so much! She's so cute, and such a nice update from the original!
Double post because Cloudflare.
Really good take on the style and character.
Thanks everyone! Hopefully the next one won't take so long. Getting that water right was a beast.
Rosi finds getting a job in the big city is more difficult than she expected, and the bills keep adding up!

Where There's a Will, There's a Way!
Your renders are so cute. And I love that you're doing them as a story too, I can't wait to see her arrival at her new home!
Rosi is moving away from the big city back to the country!
@Pax Asteriae Thanks! I am having fun so far.

LoreMistress Izaria,
I followed the Pinterest link and saw all the collected pins for Hilda. I never realized she had such a following back in the 1950s! She's curvy, but admitedly not the kind of curves I'd assocaited with that time period.
I think you have an intersting interpretation going on here with Rosi.
Cheers!
I finished two more in the last week.

Oh dear - I think it'll take more than a hammer to fix that lawn mower :P

@SofaCitizen I know, right? Although, smacking malfunctioning items with hammers is soooooo satisfying...
Haha, yeah I can agree there! Hopefully, Rosi's luck improves soon :)
