Environment edge

Hello, I haven't had this happen in a long time, and forget how to fix it.

I blacked out the environment.  

Buit later, the edges became gray, to create a grey frame.

How do I get the environment back to all black?

That is the difference between the area that will render and the area outside the render, I think, with a solid colour Background option set in Window>Environment.

Oh?  It was all black, before.  Can i change it back, si it is all black, again, when I work?

I just closed out, completely.  And reloaded.  And it returned to normal.

It doesn't always return to normal, but it was a considerable time ago, that this happened, anyway.
