DS 4.21.1.41 Public Beta Problems loading base G8.1F figure

What I describe below is also happening in the standard release 4.16.0.3 that I have installed. So it is likely independent of the version.

When I load either the base G8 Female  or the G8.1 Female figure, or any other figure built on them I get hundreds of warnings of the following kinds:

1. Parent for modifier not found:
2. Alias property not added to node.
3. Property alias not created!
4. Formula output property not found:
5. Formula target property not found:

This first 3 are linked; they come one after the other in triplets repeated hundreds of times. After those stop I get hundreds of warnings of types 4 and 5 interspersed.

1 is generated apparently by ..\..\..\..\..\src\sdksource\fileinput\dzassetdaz.cpp(6754):

2 is generated by the same path but with (2469) or (10126)

3 same path with (2501)

4 has (695)

5 has (746)

Some background:

I am using a WIndows 10 box with an nvidia RTX 2070.

I manually installed a G8.1F figure I got from a source independent of DAZ3D.
Then when loading any G8F figure I would get an error popup that announced duplicate formulas found. The error box would stay there not completeing the figure load nor letting me do anything else until I dismissed it.
Upon examining the log file I found hundreds of duplicate formula errors.
I pay close attention to the log file, usually having it open it in a text editor while using Studio. I had not gotten these before installing the figure. So I manually uninstalled the figure by deleting everything that it created in my DAZ 3D Library.
The duplicate file errors went away and were no warnings listed. Then I made a complete backup of my DAZ 3D Library.
Later installing another non Daz3D figure caused the same problem, and more. So I manually uninstalled it. But in that case the problems did not go away.
So I replaced the current DAZ 3D Library with my back up.
But then upon opening Studio, I got the notorious "A valid PostgreSQL CMS connection could not be established."
I was able to fix that using the method described in https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207812393-PostgreSQL-Connection-Error-and-No-Smart-Content

But now whenever I open a G8F or G8.1F figure I get hundreds of the warnings 1-5 I listed above.

Two questions: A. What is causing them. B. How can I fix it.

Many thanks in advance!

Most of those are fairly common, 4 and 5 are benign - they just mean something you do have installed has additional properties to play nicely with something you don't, so the links cannot be established (and are not needed).

  • Thank you, Richard. I doubt that anyone knows more about these programs and models than you. I have always valued your advice. Are you saying that I should ignore these messages? That it may not be worth the effort to track them down? I'll take your advice on it.

The first three may be worth sorting out, it may well indicate an issue with the products - the last two almost certainly aren't issues, I don't know if they have a measurable impact on load times.
