Materials and textures - Warp and deform, stretching, fabrics
Hello,
I'm currently playing around creating clothings and... how do you people deal with warping, deform, stretching? Most fabrics have some ability to tolerate slightly deformations during sewing but 3D texturing is often "everything or nothing", I mean, we can warp and deform a logo, but warping a tiling texture is a whole other matter. How do you deal with this kind of problem?
I mean, a fabric will be able to wrap around Z (moving along X,Y -think about wrapping around a cylinder) but will tolerate some kind of stretching along Z too. Any tips, advice?
