another "postgreSQL" problem

Or maybe it's the same one everyone else seems to have.

I recently bought a new computer, reinstalled Daz to the main drive, and moved all my content to the E drive (keeping the program file on the C drive).

This worked fine for a couple of days, but suddenly I'm getting the "PostgreSQL install isn't valid" message and no smart content shows up, but worse, I can't search for any content.

I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the PostgreSQL from IM, but it doesn't seem to help.

Just to clarify... where do I install it?  The program itself is on my C drive but all the content is on the D drive (lots more room).  I've tried to install it in both places, but so far... no luck.

Oh, and I did check my Windows Security and made sure the firewall was letting the Daz application through.

If you can see that the 'database icon' in the upper right corner of DIM is white, it means the csm service is started. If it's grey, click the icon to start it.

Press F2 in Ds to check the cms configuration is correct or not - the directory of cms Cluster and port ... Then click Start CMS in Smart Content to see if it works...

  • That did the trick!  The cluster was pointing to the wrong location.

    Thanks!!

A further thing to try, if you've _almost_ successfully shifted content directory locations.

After you've done the above CMS/Cluster shift and setting, if you're (still) getting no search results on your content:

Right click the Content Library Tab

Select Scan Known Directories For Files
