Hi there. I'm completely new to Daz and 3D modeling in general. I recently watched some tutorials and saw how rediculously easy it can be now and thought I'd like to jump in and tackle the hardest darn thing I could. I'm trying to create life-like models of my wife and I from pictures of us when we first met. I don't have very good/hi res images from back then and Face Transfer is producing something straight out of an 80s horror flick. Does anyone know of any good tutorials on how to "manually" create a model based off of photos, both the morphs and perhaps the textures as well?

If you're gonna use it for rendering in Daz, you may use Face Transfer plugin in Daz or Facegen....

Thanks, I appreciate the links! Unfortunately, it looks like I'll run into the same issues with FaceGen that I have with Face Transfer, lack of viable source material. All the photos I have are all full of teeth, glasses, bad lighting, etc. The results from Face Transfer are terrible, doubt FaceGen would fare any better. Are there any more "old school" ways that might work with less-than-ideal source material?
I am not so sure that what you are asking for is possible: creating an accurate representation of a real person is not really that easy, even with the tools that are currently available. I have also toyed with a few with the same results as you. Therefore, you probably need to find someone that already has the skills and experience to do this by hand and commission the likenesses from them.
