default hdri

I'm using the default hdri and trying to get a clean reflection on chrome. I've tried tons of hdris and none of them give a good reflection as the default, except when I don't use walls - because the default has clouds etc., these show up in the chrome as reflections. Is there a version of the default hdri that has no clouds or objects in it? Or something similar. As I say, I've tried quite a lot of these and can't find one yet that gives a clean reflection

What are you wanting? If there are no clouds or objects theer will be nothing to relfect - nor will the HDRI give much variation in light. If you just want a sun and plain sky try removing the map entirely, which will put you in Sun/Sky mode where you set the location and time to determine the lighting.

You don't want a completely empty HDRI, it will make your surfaces - especially metallic ones - look unrealistic.

If you don't want clouds, use an HDRI that doesn't have clouds.

Are you rendring an indoor scene? Use something like this perhaps, or this?

Kinda hard to recommend something without knowing what you're trying to do.
