Hi Dodger,
For some reason I'm not getting any notification of messages. It was only after seeing this forum messsage I checked the link I saved when you first replied to my message and saw that you had sent me a message on July 27th. My apologies for not responding before.
We need a DAZ discord.
I know there is one. But, I mean, we need one that isn't infested with creepy NFT weenies.
(No, I'm not calling everyone who does NFTs a creepy weeny; but there is a subset of NFT enthusiasts who are definitely scammy creepy weenies, and they do infest the extant DAZ discord, possibly because there are like 25892704 NFT channels and 2 actual DAZ channels.)
I'd absolutely be down for that! A gallery channel, a questions channel, a social channel, (a complaining channel), it'd be great
If someone makes an unnofficial server, count me in
Dodger, did you do an 'ERC Freeze' after getting your JCM's to work, and then save the figure (preferably with a slightly different name to avoid confusion). I think if you don't do those two things then the erc will not be saved with the figure.
In this case I would suspect that its loading the JCMs/ERC from somewhere else that's not included in the zip. Unzip into a new content directory to test.
How to set up a new content directory
When a piece of content loads in DS the software scans for morphs and UVs. It will first scan the mapped content dir you loaded the content from and load everything it finds, it then checks every other content dir to see if more assets exist. Any it finds will load unless they are the same name as one that already loaded. Any duplicates it runs into get skipped.
Check the log file, it might give you a clue on where its loading from. Help - Troubleshooting - View Log File. That should open a notepad file. You can delete everything in there and save to get a fresh empty log file. Then load your clothing item and see what Daz Studio reports.
You can try this one : https://discordservers.com/server/578543104492306432
What's wrong with that site, I have discord, I have 3 servers on it, yet on that link, it takes me to a site that won't let me do anything unless I shut off adblocker. So I checked and it blocked over 70 ads and 20 trackers. Also checked the url and discord has .com not .me
Here's a better link with no ads - or you can use google to search for Daz3D Slackers discord and choose your own link to use :)

You misunderstand, that site is not discord, it's a site created by someone called Aaron Scherer and called discord servers, which is misleading, the actual discord.com was created by Jason Citron
https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/discordservers.com
https://discord.gg/EDuVDJGQ is the discord link (I think). You can bypass these websites and just use the discord app to join. I'm going to feel really stupid if that doesn't work.
That worked and now you can feel super intelligent lol Thanks for the link and I joined.
I already have quite a few discords I sub to, most VR game related and the DAZ discord is one. I never found it friendly or helpful since there is so much talk (at the time) of NFT stuff which I hate. Basically my Discord experiences make me less likely to join more
No, I don't make them that way, but the ERC *is* saving. I can load the stuff in fine myself.
The morphs are definitely there in the ZIP, and in the right place.
And the ERC is definitely being referenced:
...
Actually, now that I am looking closer...
"Genesis8_1Male/chest_2:/Scenes/BSG%20Colonial%20Warrior%20G8M.duf#chest_2?rotation/x"
Sort of sounds wrong, because it's referring to /Scenes/BSG Colonial Warrior G8M.duf which is NOT in the package. I don't know why though.
If it's working for you then I would check if you have duplicate copies of the morphs in other locations, such as above, if you do have duplicates it may the those that are being activated on your system, rather than the ones included in the zipped version.
I believe that should instead say:
chest_2:/data/3D%26D%2FBattlestar%20Galactica/Colonial%20Warrior%20Jacket/grpBSGCWJacketG8_27674.dsf#chest_2?rotation/x
so I changed it and will test again
Had youn saved the clothing asset before creating the morph, and before saving the scene you were working in if you didn't do it all in one session?
Saving unfinished projects as scene files is not always dependable...it is better to save something to the library even in an unfinished state and the overwrite it again as you complete more work on it.
I have no idea. Remember, I didn't even know it wouldn't save the ERC at first without having to go in and specificaly tell it to. It's also confusing as to how that works in my environment in a new scene, since I don't have that scene itself loaded. But it does.
But I have run a script to fix the references throughout, and I have hopes this will correct things.
Sokath, his eyes open!
I've replied to your message with a file link, so you know.
Thanks Dodger, I'll download it and give it a try.
