Render question (scripted 3d delight - outline)

Does anyone know how to fix the rendering of the eyes? (it shows up in the "depth" render mostly but a little in the "normal" renders. The outline render makes three different types).

You haven't made the file avaialble to others, as far as I can see. is the issue noise? Often the eys have more complex materials, and as a result they can remain nosiy long after the rest of the scene has reached a settled value - if they make a relatively small part of the scene then the rest will count as converged and will tip the whole image over the target converged percentage (set in the progressive group in the Editor tab of Render Settings).

If that is the issue then increasing the Render Converged Percentage (so that more of the image has to be stable) or the Render Quality (how fussy iray is about calling a pixel done) may give the process long enough (Max Time and Max Samples permitting) to get the eyes clear.

Another option is to activate the Spot Render tool, set it to go to a New Window in the Tool Settings pane, and drag out a rectangle enclosing the eyes - because theya re a larger part of the area being rendered the process should run for longer and allow the eyes to settle, then save as PNG or Tiff and you can plonk the eye area on top of the full render.
