Blackwood Outfit for g8f shrug problem.

edited August 2023 in The Commons

https://www.daz3d.com/blackwood-outfit-for-genesis-8-female - I picked this up a bit ago but finally got around to trying it out. For some unknown reason when I fit the shrug to my character it blows up to maybe 100 times normal scale.  If my screen cap uploads the white shrug is just sitting in the scene unfitted; the brownish one up top is fitted to my Aiko8. I've tried it several times and even reinstalled the package with the same results. If anyone has a clue what's going on I'd love to figure this out. The textures for both are base for the costume and it does this regardless of which one I use including the default. I'm running the latest DAZ4.21 pro 64bit using Win10. Doesn't look like my screenshot is going to upload, waited nearly an hour. Not sure what's wrong with that.

Attachments have been broken for a while. Works aroun 6 PM yo midnight Daz time.

I tried to load the whole outfit onto Klarya (G8F) without issues.

Does it also happen with the base G8F?

Or do you get any error messages or weird log entry (Help > Troubleshooting > View log file)?

I'm not sure what is going on here. I will look into it.

Alright.  I looked at the outfit on Aiko 8. Everything loaded correctly.
I really hate saying this... but I think it's your Aiko.
Something else is loading with the base Aiko and causing the distortion.  It's definitely not the outfit itself or it's rigging.
I hope you are able to figure out what is going one with your figure.
    good luck.

I figured it out. I use a custom mix of morphs starting with Aiko8, Karyssa8, and one of Reciecup's last characters for G8f: Dromeda - all at about 44%. Starting from Alana for G8 I dialed in Aiko8 and Karyssa8; and one more to customize the character a little, and all worked pretty well. But when I dialed in Dromeda (even at just 44%) the shrug blew up. There are some internal tweaks to things like torso length, I'm guessing those were the culprits. But I can't be sure; I tried dialing those out with Dromeda dialed in and it didn't seem to help. I haven't seen a character morph do anything like this before so I would never have imagined it until you suggested trying it with a base character.
