Help with aligning star background using star fields in Space Construction Kit

I have been messing with the Space Construction Kit in Bryce 7.1 and attempting to align star fields in a scene.  I would set up a simple scene with a default terrain, set the sky to black and then try to add a star field.  None of it seems to fit properly.  I try to align the star field by using differeent camera views to make it flat to the camera.  What I get is very dim and often elongated stars that don't fill the whole sky along the edges and often bleed into the terrain.  I have been working on this for a few days and am getting really frustated.  I know there is a simple solution, but don't know what it is.  I am a newbie at Bryce and know Space Construction Kit is advanced, but I would like to figure out the basics anyway.  I've seen the videos that came with SCK, but would appreciata advice or directions or other tutorials that would help me.
