Has anyone got reference shaders to work recently?

I can define a reference shader, and after disabling preferences->'consolidate shaders on load' and preferences->automatically create projection maps', I can add it to a complex mutichannel,but it still doesnt update automatically in the refrenced instances when I change the referenced shader until I open and edit each instance, which kind of defeats the point. Am I doing something else wrong?

  • I have to check that. I've been using reference shader (a few times) and didn't notice it.

    If it is working, please can you share a snaphot of your shader tree?

    I'm just about half way putting this model together to share publicly, and reference shaders would be very useful for adjusting multiple objects at once, it has about 500 shaders so it would be a real help.
