"The Lady and the Lion"
Not my usual sort of subject material, but I finally picked up all of the AM felines and the Dark Corridor in recent days, so this sort of created itself.
What a gorgeous render! I love the lighting. I put the Lady Costanza dress on my WL. It's beautiful. I had glanced briefly at it, but its promo renders don't do it justice imho. It looks much better in your render.
The render was created for Llola Lane’s RENDER A MONTH Challenge 2024. This year global theme is animals, and September is all about mythical or fantasy ones. Hence the Hellborn Dragon looming in the shadow
My usual duo for these challenges is back in the Words of War world with their friend Jada (and now her husband Zale). The four of them are now Near the end of an 'Hellborn run', one misstep away to total disaster:
Victoria and Lacey marked this afternoon on their respective agendas: they didn’t want to miss an opportunity to play Words of War with Jada, especially because this time, Jada and her husband Zale were able to play together, thanks to Zale’s parents keeping an eye on the couple’s child.
The whole group spent some time slowly making its way in one of their favourite dungeons with Lacey opening the way (ready to retreat in the shadows if necessary, disarming traps, opening doors), Victoria ready to get the attention of any monsters, Jada keeping everyone alive and Zale taking care of killing monsters, one swing of his gigantic two-handed axe at a time.
They are not near the end and they only now need to avoid being detected by the Hellborn Dragon roaming at the heart of the dungeon.
With Lacey keeping an eye on the dragon and Jada channelling a cloaking spell, will the group succeed and get back to the inn with treasures from the dungeon?
A lot of translucency and gloss (I painted maps to focus which areas were wet), plus a geoshell with a negative offset - this sits inside the shirt and you get a look where it's clung to the skin where the shell clips inside the figure, and like it's sitting away from the skin where it doesn't.
I'm slowly getting back into rendering after the out of state move, and I started with something easy. This was done for Daz+ inspiration contest, but I took the opportunity to try other new things I bought as well.
Not the prettiest render but I was remembering having the chance to discuss the science fiction novel, Dune, with Frank Herbert when I had just finished high school. So I decided to a render of a young intersteller scion trying to make the best of it in a palace on a desert world:
On sale yesterday was VanishingPoint's FortifiedManor. Quite an old model, so I played with the shaders, scaled it to 50%, and dropped it into an UltraScenery evening scene:
I really like VanishingPoint's buildings, lightweight on the system, but with plenty of detail to be interesting.
You guys rock for keeping this thread running, and your renders are much appreciated! I drop by almost every day. Am trying to do some renders myself as well, but lots of intense family stuff going on atm, so ... Anyways, so cool to see you keep at it!

Wishing you patience & rest & highest possible outcome for intense family stuff. Look forward to your renders when they appear. :)

Edited to put in a slightly lighter render.
This is so beautiful. I immediately added it to my wish list. I have always been interested in those old architectural products. Those buildings are very beautiful, but I am worried about the material. However, this one is really good.
This was yesterday's London Street and I was so happy to buy it at the last minute, each building has a specially designed window which is perfect as a backdrop or even try transforming the inside of the window.

Lovely render and thanks for confirming it still plays well for such an oldie. Back on the wishlist til it gets the 80% discount again.

Such a sweet post, thank you! Still working on the family stuff, but I got motivated to at least post a really simple render in between - realizing only now that really everyone uses the same jumpsuit at the moment, but well ...
So this is Bluejaunte's Cynthia with some new-ish hair and the Mini Scene Wall Painting that came out a little while ago. I'll do the links in the gallery, as per usual. Have a lovely day everyone!
Reposted from Daz+ inspiration contest thread as those contests always prompt me to try new items on top of the required items (and the Daz+ items themselves as well).
(* Obviously, she's not Orla. Like all of my Face Transfer characters at the moment, this is a stock G9 figure, to which the FT2 shape and other shaping was applied, then in this case, the URHD Orla materials, and then I replaced the base color with the textures from my character. Lazy, but quick.)
I love Polish's product, beautiful and easy to load, I didn't buy Predatron's "Barnabus Ragwort" because characters that are not based on Genesis are inconvenient for me to use, but I really like delicate little things like fishing boats. In the end, who can resist the charm of this cute little fox?
Both images are beautiful! Reallu happy to see renders with the new products! Happy to see people happy too :D
Oh I am very very happy. I'm adding today's new release to my collection, but first I'm eyeing up what remains of your catalog (i.e. the bits I don't have) to see what else I can't live without!
Oooh the new Lanah hair by AprilYSH is just lovely! Link's here: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-lanah-hair-for-genesis-9. I'm thinking of starting a line of renders showing off hair and clothes that would work for period pieces, because that might be a useful thing to do. This would do quite well I think for 1940s style stuff, although I didn't have enough time to add a hat ;-) Anyways, the coat is new (for me) too, by Breeze (https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-brz-belted-dress-and-poses-for-genesis-9) who released the suit with movement morphs today - I also bought that and then was inspired to get the coat as well. I must say the ready-made movement morphs work very well and are a great time saver. I only wish that they would work as sliders as well, not just poses, so they could be adjusted. I also had to use Thickener on the coat because it's paper thin originally. But I do like that line of clothes! - Rest of linkies in the gallery as usual. Lovely day all!

I thought there would be more items from last month, but the only one is STF Brutal Gear - Barbarian Circlet.

Not the newest product, but https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-casual-collection-for-genesis-9-and-genesis-8-females was at least a recent purchase for me.
This one was done for the biweekly challenge on the Daz3D Slackers Discord on the theme of "Oops".

Nice
If I may ask a question: how did you get the wet look on the shirt ?
A lot of translucency and gloss (I painted maps to focus which areas were wet), plus a geoshell with a negative offset - this sits inside the shirt and you get a look where it's clung to the skin where the shell clips inside the figure, and like it's sitting away from the skin where it doesn't.
There's also a displacement map I used from (warning: nude images beyond link) https://www.deviantart.com/testrender2/art/Universal-Wet-Shirt-Texture-Maps-1044161828 to add in the finer wrinkles.
Thank you
I think I get the idea of how you did it (wether I'm able to do it remains to be seen).

I spent most of the evening installing all my recent buys, so I thought I'd drop a couple of images here.
Fabiana's latest dForce Luxe Chains Two - I'm a big Fabiana fan!
Yesterdays' Golden Ticket item - XI Street of London also my first use of the Lowpoly Crowd Creator Bundle which I bought in August but only just got round to using.
Oh and here's one I created for the Daz+ Inspiration contest but failed to make the deadline, so I might as well put it here.
It uses Wild West Saloon 1 and dForce Midsummer Jumpsuit and dForce Koralyn FrizzPonytail Set
You Meet the Most Interesting People in Old English Ruins...
I used Orla Fae for Genesis 8 Female, which I picked up September 15th. This is just an exquisite character, I think.
Indeed she is. I didn't need her at all, but I still got her shortly after her release.
And an excellent render to feature her!
