dForce Haircut?

Is there a way to remove parts of dForce hair on products that come with it?

Here's the idea:

I have Yeti for Genesis 8 Male and wqant to remove only a little bit of the hair on the top of his head - not the whole head. Just enough to allow him to wear a hat.

Haha, Yeti's head seems bald ... or you mean the hair on the back head?

In RGcincy's long dForce thread, there're a couple of ways to manipulate various hats with dForce hair... e.g. use a timeline + hat's sizing, the hair could be suppressed by the hat during colliding.

I don't have Yeti... if the hair is not SBH, you may give it a 'partial hair cut' by using Geometry Editor and hide them.

Yeah... tried those. After the hat pushes the hair in it pops back out through the hat later in the animation.

I'll try some more. I didn't do a whole lot of tests with it yet.

I was hoping that maybe there was a way to select parts of the hair and remove it. It would look better that way instead of forcing it down with the hat anyway, because that makes all of it go down, when I'd rather have it normal under the rim of the hat.

He's cool though. I thought I read in here that dForce fur like that doesn't work for animations. It seems to work in animations and look pretty cool!

I wonder why they lock hair editing from non-PAs? That just doesn't make sense to me.

For example: Someone wanting to be a hair creator, but is not currently a PA has no hopes of experimenting. Even still though... why?

Edit the hair distribution map. You can find the map that is used in the Surfaces pane and edit it in a photo editor.

Very cool. Thanks! I was really hoping for something like that! I love it when I can tweak via image edits!
