Advice on white gloves

Hi, I need to buy some gloves for my characters. I need gloves that I can select INDIVIDUALLY (i.e. NOT necessarily as a pair), as I only need the glove for the left hand. Also, I need the gloves to be white. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • White can be done by swappng out mateials, since they would be figures you can always hide the bobnes of the unwanted hand (hidden bones don't get sent to the render engine).

Sorry for the newbie question, but how can you swap materials? I am still struggling to find the tab for the materials in Daz3d

The Surface tab holds the information on how it is rendered.

For the gloves there might be options if you select the gloves in the scene tab, and then in Smart Content click Materials > Iray (assuming you will use Iray as renderer).

Else there is shaders. Can also be found in Smart Content.

Lastly you can change the setting in the surface tab, but that requires you have an understanding of what the channels are. Base Color is the obvious place to start.

Thanks @felis. Another question: do you know any gloves with editable bones? I want to be able to modify the single fingers of the glove WITHOUT parenting it to a hand....

Just expend the glove so you can see the bone hierarchie in the scene tab and select a finger bone and you can bend it as it was on a character.
