I made some new surfaces using the GE for the first time, however, I'm having trouble making nice curved lines.. please see link for reference https://photos.app.goo.gl/dCpvg1MdgVuViPMx9

I'm using G8F

GE is not a tool for real modeling but for editing geometry by Selection, mostly... So if you wanna create new surface, better Ctrl + 8 first, then select the plolygons carefully.

BTW, what did you do? Select polygons on a G8's geometry?

Yes, what I did was select the superhero suit and choose the polygon while in the GE. Then, I selected areas like the hips, chest, etc., and created new surfaces for those. Unfortunately, Smay, the creator of the asset, didn’t provide any maps at all; it's just color. So, creating the surfaces was confusing until I figured it out.

Witn maps I assume you mean UV maps. You can get these if you export it to a modeller.

I don't have it, else I could have made them for you.

You can see what they look like in Daz Studio, if you select one or more surfaces and then swith Viewport to UV.

OP meant texture maps. I found no map either.

But I'm afraid OP will have no way to make it by geometry selection as this suit is a bit unique. I think it used Push Modifiers to make those morphs for 'styles'. So using the morphs will be just fine...
