Comments
Well, it looks like I'm first in here but here's my entry - a hero from one of my novels, Lathan Aro.
Every material has been customized in one form or another in Photoshop and I also created new bump, normal, and displacement maps while I was at it. See the WIP thread for exact details if you're curious. With the new Gen 3 stuff coming out I wanted to see if the older stuff can still keep pace. I used the the Atlas character by SAV for Michael 4 and rendered in Iray in DAZ Studio 4.9 Public Beta. The only postwork in Photoshop was adding the gradient background, fixing a little glitch on the sash, and adding my signature.
Thanks!
Cheers all,
Kathryn
Here is my entry. Rendered in Iray. Adjusted several material settings on the fur to give it more depth and a more realistic render. Small amount of postwork in Gimp: brightness/contrast, saturation, soft light highlights, and lens flare.
Decided to go ahead and enter the other version of my bear cub before I take off on my trip. I like both for different reasons and I'm not sure which I actually like better. This entry is based on the same raw render as the first entry. It has basically the same postwork as the except I played with the hue a little in this one as well. I wish I could have done more, but I just ran out of time.

I completey changed the textures on the girls clothing, as well as the dragon's armour. The building in the background also had changes in the materials not just texture but with different channels as well. The bedroll was completely redone down to the buckles and straps. Her hair was adjusted a bit on the bump maps and the shininess. The dragons wings have a new texture applied and the girl has some scars on her face and arm. Both of them have dirt and the dragon has blood on his nails.
