The conversation had gotten around to where Dad stayed whilst in Canada, describing the area and house and how he would play with the kids after dinner. The young hitchhiker also talked about how his parents told him of the airforce pilot who stayed with them and how he fitted right into life whilst there. This got dad thinking, and looked at the young hitchiker and asked him his name..
The young fella replied with his name and dad asked him his mum and dad's name. Dad pulled over and looked at the young Canadian person he picked up hitchiking on a south coast highway in New South Wales Australia and said to him 'You are the young kid I used to play games with after dinner!'

What are the chances that something like this would happen...

    the End

Thanks for sharing that this story, a perfect "small world" tale.

Catwaezle was a TV show back in 1970 when stuff on TV was awesome wink

Touchwood is his pet toad ... he is an 11th century bumbling wizard named Catweazle (Geoffrey Bayldon) and is pursued by soldiers through a wood, carrying only his magic charm and his toad. He says a spell as he jumps into a pond. When he emerges from the pond he believes that he has made the wood and soldiers disappear; in fact he has jumped 900 years into the future.

To the best of my knowledge they didn't make an appearance over here either, but the modelling, as always, is excellent.

It's been a few decades so I could be wrong, but I don't believe there was a character in the B.C. strip called Rolly. I am pretty sure that Thor was the inventor, though.

Johny Hart's "B.C." comic strip, along with his "Wizard if Id" are two long-running comic strips. In the early 60s, Hanna-Barbera were actually negotiating to bring B.C. to prime time television as an animated show; the deal fell through and Hanna-Barbara created The Flintstones instead.

Stazza has recreated almost all of B.C.'s characters, even the clams and the ants. I think theres only a handful left, but all of the major players are done, and very well done too.
