Catweazle and Touchwood..
Now thats a blast from the past !!!
I don't know Catweazle and Touchwood but looking good.
Catwaezle was a TV show back in 1970 when stuff on TV was awesome
Touchwood is his pet toad ... he is an 11th century bumbling wizard named Catweazle (Geoffrey Bayldon) and is pursued by soldiers through a wood, carrying only his magic charm and his toad. He says a spell as he jumps into a pond. When he emerges from the pond he believes that he has made the wood and soldiers disappear; in fact he has jumped 900 years into the future.
To the best of my knowledge they didn't make an appearance over here either, but the modelling, as always, is excellent.
I started watching that series on Youtube last year or maybe the year before
must finish one day and watch season 2
so many things to watch
somehow missed it on TV growing up though to be fair I was in school all of the 70's

B C ~ Before Cubes
must of been a weird world!
Fantastic, so much fun!
It looks like Thor hasn't invented the wheel, though, yet...
I thought that was Rolly
It's been a few decades so I could be wrong, but I don't believe there was a character in the B.C. strip called Rolly. I am pretty sure that Thor was the inventor, though.
oh I did not realise this was a comic strip
I just thought random cave people
Johny Hart's "B.C." comic strip, along with his "Wizard if Id" are two long-running comic strips. In the early 60s, Hanna-Barbera were actually negotiating to bring B.C. to prime time television as an animated show; the deal fell through and Hanna-Barbara created The Flintstones instead.
Stazza has recreated almost all of B.C.'s characters, even the clams and the ants. I think theres only a handful left, but all of the major players are done, and very well done too.
So, Wendy didn't read the pullout comic section of the Sunday Newspaper after church every week!
The Advertiser and Sunday Mail in Adelaide didn't run that one
~ pretty good Then
Prince Valiant was my favourite strip when I was about 10 years old
