4.22 Question

Is it possible to roll back to an earlier version? My Daz crashes as soon as I switch between Iray and another shader :-S It just keeps trying to load in iRay in perpetuity in many of my scenes. If rolling back isn't an option is there a work around like installing a different driver or something? I do have the gaming version installed right now; would changing to the creator's version be any different? has someone encountered something similar to this?

regards,

Anti

Earlier versions are not available for download anymore. If you have a backup of install files you can use that. You could also try contacting Daz support to see if they can provide you with a copy, but there's no guarantee at all.

4.22 does require a more recent version of the driver than previous version, so if you don't have the latest drivers installed you should probably try that first.

  • Did you verify your GPU drivers on your pc yet to make sure you're using the latest version? They upgraded the Iray driver so I can't help wonder if this might be related. For what's it worth I'm having no issues with this myself.

You don't need the latest drivers to run it, 531.79 works fine with it in case you are also avoiding the "VRAM tweaks" that wrecks ML training lol

  • I found out that it is mainly one of my characters (Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn by Totocandy) which makes the window bug out :-/ problem is that I have 4 scenes connected with the character, so that blows hard, and every one of them freeze Daz when I try to switch to iRay in the render window. I have driver version 546.01; but it is the game driver, not the studio one. I might try to install the studio driver just to see if I can save the scenes. Thank you guys!
