Softbody not deforming mesh (diffeo)

I've imported a Genesis 8 character into Blender using Diffeomorphic, and applied the softbody options.
The red softbody cages are successfully applied and when I moved the character around in simulation, they jiggle as expected.
However the actual skin of the character never deforms or moves at all, so when I hide the cages from visibility and move the character around, nothing happens.
I can see a deform modifier is applied to the character's 'softbody' shape, but what is actually needed to make the skin jiggle?

Turns out I needed to export the character from Daz with Base Resolution
Softbody works both with the base mesh and HD multires, but doesn't work for geografts for example if you use breast geografts, that may be your case. Also doesn't work if for some reason multires fails to unsubdivide the mesh, but that shouldn't happen with G8.
