Love the postings! This is my attempt at a screen icon. Used the attached AI generated face portrait, tuned other body parameters, exported as a single morph that can be saved, and then even transferred to G8 if desired! More of an exercise using all the tools. Still trying to get a perfectly un-shadowed face out of the AI generator to get the best skin that FT2 can manage so far. Starting to play with some children next. TD
I love the aesthetic you've got going on with your renders. How are you achieving that?
Thanks, ainm.sloinneadh.
I am using postprocessing in CyberLink Photo Director.
Another beauty creation with Face Transfer 2.
Yet another creation made with Face Transfer 2.
New version of Daz Studio Beta: 4.22.1.88
so just another creation made with Face Transfer 2 on Genesis 9
A new FT2 WIP, also testing a few new products.
Another new FT2 character, with some new stuff I'm testing.
Just installed a new version of Daz Studio Beta 4.22.1.99, so it was a time for a new test.
This time I have created Genesis 8 Female character and edited it with https://www.daz3d.com/1-click-pbrskin
Looks better to me and it does not have this reddish skin as usual.
I have applied to the hair one of the presets from https://www.daz3d.com/revolution--omni-shader-presets-for-strand-based-hairs
Just installed a new version of Daz Studio Beta 4.22.1.136 and I am very happy with the results.
Thanks for improving Daz Studio.
Long Live Daz Studio.
I finally upgraded my main Daz instance to 4.22 not long ago.
I don't like that Daz keeps the eyebrow, have to edit the textures manually to remove them. Also Facetransfer 2 keeps all the black around the eyes and it looks horrible. One would think this would be addressed? After editting this is how things look. At least with my work, I have got the best results by removing the black and eyebrows from the "D" and "SSS" texture naps. I am not really sure if Facetransfer 2 has very good resolution, verious features like eye shape and nose or lip features have to be manually adjusted if desired. I hope things improve someday.
I took advantage of the super discount and bought Face Transfer 2 and Face Transfer Shapes 2
How to use Face Transfer Shapes 2? Is this tool just a manual parameter adjustment?
After you install it, go to your account page and make sure the product is activated in Daz Studio. It'll replace the previous Face Transfer pane. Then find a picture with a neutral expression-straight at the camera, hair not obsctructing the face and with no smiles/frowns. Think driver's license picture. It'll load pretty effectively. Not perfect but it's a huge upgrade to the first Face Transfer.
Yes the eyebrow thing drives me crazy, too. They should load it with an eyebrow we can just delete and replace. It's like a delicate game to find some that fit OVER the generated eyebrows that also fit what you want and it's frustrating.
Just for clarification, we don't need to enter a new serial number with the Face Transfer Shapes, do we?
Nope! Just for face Transfer 2.
Since there's some new activity on this thread, thought I would throw this out there if anyone is interested.

In the course of the thread, I discuss not just FT2 but everything else I've tinkered with along the way.
I've played a little bit with Face Transfer 2 Shapes- they make a huge difference! I can't see using FT2 without the shapes; they make an amazing product even better. Not only that, they're so easy to use.
Yeah they help a lot. For me, I use them to fine tune the transfer as, while it's good, not perfect and those little tweaks with the shapes help to get your look as close as possible.
My 2 cents ... Face Transfer 2 is vastly more usable without Face Transfer 2 Shapes than was the original Face Transfer without Face Transfer Shapes, but you definitely still want to use FT2 Shapes. It greatly improves the ear issue as well as the profile. It also offers several additional shaping options.
You can get some decent characters with Face Transfer 2 for sure. A change of material or skin can go a long way.
Above was rendered in Octane after FT2.
