lateral DOF?

Hi. I would like to render with the center of the image sharp but with the sides blurred. I don't know if we can do this with the camera settings? like a DOF but lateral.

You could do that with a mask in your image editor of choice. Simply create a black-white-black (or grey-white-grey) gradient and use that as a mask for a camera blur. I don't know if there's a way to do this in-camera, because I don't know if it's physically possible to do something like that.

Render with Canvases and different DOF settings....but post-work is always the fast and best way of doing this.
