Getting Started exporting Daz to Poser in 2024 -Simplified

I see lots of discussion on exporting Daz figures to import into Poser. Some are old and thing change. Certain things don't work any more.

I'm bewildered. What is the state of this export/import for 2024?

Can someone tell me the simple steps to get started?

I take a figure and choose Export as CR2,but a file with extension .pmd is created. When I try to bring that into Poser, it resets the scene with the default character.

Sooo.  Can someone PLEASE give me a few simple steps to follow.

Thank you for any help.

The generated .pmd is a technical file used to store morph data. You don't use it directly in poser, it should be loaded automatically when you load the cr2.
