Why do Reflections Show Sky?

Forgive this very newbie question (despite my few years playing with Daz Studio).

I've noticed on some reflective surfaces, you can see a blue sky and clouds, despite the fact that there is nothing in the 'scene' like that.  I don't, for example, have any kind of 'Sky Dome' loaded (but maybe there is some kind of 'default' sky dome?).

My question is: How do you disable this, or change what is reflected in the 'sky'?

many old Poser products have a reflection channel where an image map is added, usually it is a small fuzzy 360 equirectangular image like a skydome

  • Open the Surfaces pane with the model selected, in the editor tab of the Surfaces pane select the model on the left (which selects all of its surfaces), then click the icon next to Reflection Colour and remove any maps by clicking None - you will then get real reflections of the scene.

  • Thanks to all the answers! ^_^
