Any plans to allow direct painting of textures in 3d?

As someone who has a hard time with 2d art, I really wish it were possible to "paint" directly on the 3D models and then unwrap it, rather than unwrapping, texturing and rewrapping. I can paint 3d objects like ceramics or 3d prints almost like a pro, but once they are unwrapped and flat, my brain shuts down. Suddenly, I'm painting like it's 1978 and I'm a 10 year old. I know of some programs like Microsoft 3d builder that allow you to paint directly on a 3d figure, but there's no way to then export that as a texture. I doubt there is much demand for this. but while I may be in the minority here, I am pretty sure I am not alone. If anyone knows of a program that allows for this and can export it, please let me know.

are lots actually and if you are really masochistic you can even use the Strandbased Hair editor in D|S to do it cheeky

Blender is free (also a bit of a learning curve)

    Quixel Mixer is free https://quixel.com/mixer

the main thing is your model needs UV mapping of some sort, DAZ studio does not support Vertex colours

I use Zbrush but thats rather pricey

I have good news and bad news for you.

The bad news is that you're unlikely to ever see painting tools like this within Daz Studio.

The good news here is that you're wrong: There's plenty of demand for this, and as such there is a whole bunch of other programs to choose from! Here's some of them:

I'm sure there are plenty of others, so anyone should feel free to add to this list!
