Sure. Create a line. Then select all the lines of it and apply thickness OR extract out a little bit to make a tinsel thread. Then clone as many pieces as you want, ungroup them and place as desired and export out.
thanks!
Hi all :)
Been so long since I did anything in Hex - thought I'd give this a go:)
1. Make a facet using facet tool, tesselate across the centre and connect outer corners to centre, so it can be twisted without causing artifacts.
2. Make copies, rotate and mess them about a bit so you don't have too much conformity - weld to form a single object.
3. Draw a curve to suit - make sure it has plenty of points.
4. Copy on support, ungroup, weld and give it a bit of a twist using the twister deformer. Give the curve a bit of thickness and weld to the rest.
5. Delete the original "star" and give it some colour. You can copy and weld a few streamers to make it longer. Probably be able to add bones in Studio to drape it to suit.
3 of the pics are awol! ... thanks will have to try that way. :-)
Drat this new forum software - gives lots of hassles . Let me try again - seems to have worked - these are 3, 5 and 1, in that order:)
Thank you. I think it might also make a nifty sea thing for my mermaid pic. :-)
