I finally got around to make my take on three as well and used it as an exercise in using AoA subsurfaceshader. In the end the shadows and reflections reminded me of the horses drawn by Franz Marc,

so I dubbed this Marcs Horses. Rendered in 3delight.

Thank you very much for the nice comments, Saphirewild and Kismet! Don´t worry, those wolves are only hungry for artwork. They stay calm as long as you feed them! :-)

That fur look really fluffy, awesome job! well lets think up some more artwork to keep them calm.By the way, what's the number for next month? I'll be away for some time in July so I might go for a head start.

Awesome foofy wolvies MN... Not sure if my computer could render such foofy fur in a decent amount of time.  I'm very impatient.  I'm curious... how long did it render and did you use 3Delight???  The lighting is perfect!

The image is rendered with 3Delight, the Free LAMH Player and there is some postwork involved. My PC has an AMD HexaCore and 16 GB RAM. Because DAZ Studio/3Delight is blocking the PC when rendering, I tend to render final images over night. A render like this is always finished in the morning. Unfortunately I don´t know the specific render time, but for sure it took less than 6 hours to render with pretty high quality settings.

Not so long ago I made a short explanation about rendering LAMH Presets in 3Delight for Knittingmommys Laboratory , including my basic postwork and just the DAZ Studio default render settings for quicker renders. You could easily rebuild this scene to get an impression what your PC can handle.

The Light Set described there is close to the one I made for the render above. It was one Distant Light, one UE2 and two Area Lights as Back and Fill Lights. I enjoy to fiddle around with the intensities and settings until everything plays well together. Probably the major patience part not everyone likes.

Thanks for all the tips MN... I do have the LAMH preset but don't have the wolf... I have other animals though.. Gonna have to break it out again and give it a try.  Your lighting setup is pretty much what I use too.  I'll check your links later.  I applaude you and your patience... even if you are sleeping whilst it's rendering... LOL

He has some free presets for some of his older animals, as well as some others such as Lynne's animals, on his site.  http://www.furrythings.com

Look at the menu at the top and select Presets Animals.

Hi All! Newbie here. I just tried to submit and I think something went wrong on my end. Hopefully I won't double post.

Have been enjoying learning Daz Studio for a month now. So much to learn!

The title of my 3delight render is Monster Hopscotch. I used City Bus Stop and Daz Monstrosities. The hopscotch and ground is an image I found on the net, so I attached it to a plane primitive. No where near the quality of the other submissions but I had fun making it!

Welcome dawnblade.  They certainly look like they are enjoying their game...not sure how well the pavement will last though.

Welcome dawnblade! Glad you joined us, and that poor pavement is probably glad you joined us during the month with three and not waited until now in July with number 11!

Thanks @isidorn! Right, 11 monsters might be a bit overkill for July. :)

Your Unity render is really nice! Very creative.
