4.22 Clearing Scene

When we shut Daz 4.22 down and it's "clearing scene" and "deleting objects" for a few minutes before closing down fully. What's it doing (other than the obvious aforementioned)? Why am I not just ending the task via Task Manager and have it close and clear the memory instantly?

It is doing the same as older versions, the difference is that the window now stays visible. It, and plug-ins, are tidying up, asving settings, and freeing resources - you don't want to force quit as that might corrupt the settings or database files.
